On 08/01/16 I started a label called Black Dingo Records. The Future of Man being the first release:

I underestimated some challenges surrounding indie ambient label stewardship but it was a worthy endeavor and an important chapter in my life. Many things i would have done differently if given another opportunity but I have memories of collaboration and striving for purpose - that i learned from and will always value.

The label was fortunate to have so many strong contributors from across the world that gave it texture and variety. All of which are listed below in the credits with direct links to their BC pages.

The name Black Dingo refers to my first dog named, Bu. He was a heeler mix rescue and mostly black coloring. He passed away in 2014 and shortly afterwards i was walking my other dog (BC/lab) and his lifetime pal, Lhasa in the park late at night.

It was later than we should have been there but we also knew the park/trail really well so i wasn't worried. As we were about to head home, a dog that looked just like my dog Bu, but all black, stepped out of the bushes and just stared at us.

For about a minute we just stood there without either of us moving or making a sound.

Finally i tried to call it towards us but then it calmly walked back into the bushes where it came from. My dog Lhasa and I were about 20 yds away and when we walked up to the spot where it had been, we couldn't see or hear anything. i sat there and whistled for a bit but that first appearance was the last and only time we saw it.

I'm sure there's a perfectly rational explantion for that but the encounter has profoundly stayed with me. If for no other reason that the timing of it and the odd, calm demeanor of the Black Dingo..

This library consists of everything released during the life of the label. Who knows what might happen in the future but this was Chapter 1 of BDR.

Also, we somehow skipped 23 and 40 so if you want to add to this collection with your own recording, please let me know.
